The ART of noticing
Attentional training.
Training your attention is worth worth the effort. Your life relies upon it.
It is fundamental for learning, decision-making and functioning in daily life by allowing you to focus on relevant information while filtering out distractions.
It is a key cognitive process that improves your ability to understand, remember, and process new information.
You need it to get things done...and to enjoy the things you like to do.
Yet (me included), we train our attention to context switch. All the time. Think scrolling.
The practice of noticing.
We often use the body or breath as a point of focus.
Use the practice as a way of noticing, again and again. And little by little, you begin to notice more...during the day, when it counts.
It gives you the ability to intercept and course correct...as you go.
Each week on Friday, we run a group meditation practice session. Join us sometime. Click here for more.
