How do you start your day?

How do you start your day?

If it's by opening your phone to see what you've missed while sleeping, consider what this does to your brain.

Booooom...a vortex of information pumps into your brain. The stimulation begins. And for many, this momentum of thinking lasts all day long. It becomes draining over time.

You may not be a morning person, though consider starting the day by sitting in stillness and silence. Even if for only 10 minutes.

It trains your mind to be present, and get a better understanding of how you are, amidst the busyness, pressures and distractions ahead in life.

It's an exercise of staying on task (focus training) and helps to balance and purify the mind from the 'mental garbage' that tends to gather.

It's not about making things happen.

It's about cultivating the conditions, and allowing the things you want (your intentions for practicing) to manifest.

If you sit in silence and stillness, what do you think will happen over time?

Enough stimulation? Schedule a time for a recharge.
