The mental gym of equanimity.

The yardstick of your progress in meditation is your equanimity.

To be equanimous means to have a mental equilibrium, a balance, as you navigate life's ups and downs.

Consider this: when your mental state is out of balance, eg. stress, it permeates to your body. There is tension, fight or flight activations

The good news: You can do something about it.

The Gym.

Just like your muscles respond to exercise in the gym, your brain works in the same way, but counterintuitively.

In the mental gym, it’s not about resistence, it' is about letting go.

It’s an ability to let go of things that have happened, or are yet to happen.

Just like with exercise, It takes time. It takes effort, discipline and grit.

And each time it’s worth it. You feel better.

Only through experience, will you know.

Practice makes permanent

What you practice, you get good at. It's as simple as that.

Whether you practice stress or composure, you'll wire your brain in this way.
