Simple. Not necessarily easy.
Just like with physical exercise, meditation takes time, effort and discipline.
It takes patience and persistence. It takes grit.
Knowing what draws you to this practice is key.
It's your intention.
And because motivation waxes and wanes, your intention gets your bum on the seat.
Giving your brain a well deserved break.
It needs it. Don't you think? ha!
The Reveal.
When you sit In stillness and silence (formal practice) something magical begins to happen.
You start to unravel and reveal what happens beyond your thinking.
It's access to a deeper side.
Your inner world.
What you will find there isn't all rosy, but it is rosy too.
It's a chance to simply BE, an opportunity to OBSERVE and to tune into your own inner world (compared with most waking hours being focused outwardly).
What a useful thing to do. You get a better understanding of yourself...and how you are amid all the busyness, pressure and distractions faced.
