Getting there?
How are you? Getting there.
Every time this is said I ask: Getting where?
And people don’t know what to say.
So instead, I asked them: Want to know the best place to get to?
Nowhere!
Often a baffled look (the one I am after 😉).
Just put a little 'dash' in it...Now-here.
It's the only time that life can be lived.
A perpetual now - the only time you ever have.
The rest is thinking - memories about the history; and imagination about the mystery ahead.
And this is why we need the practice - training the mind to be awake to life, as it's happening.
Not how it was or how it will be. But as it is.
To function at its best, your body needs rest. So does your brain.
Meditation in the workplace is essentially training mental skills in attention and attitude. A game-changer.
