Success in meditation requires intention, design & continuity.

The three pillars of success with meditation are:

Intention. Design. Continuity.

These also apply in other areas of ones life.

1. WHY - You've got to want to do it. It's simple, not necessarily easy.

2. WHAT - Design it to suit you. Try prescribed methods & do it your way.

3. HOW - Do it regularly (minimum effective dose is 10mins x 3p/w).

Through repetition, just like exercise, you will develop mental fitness.

How so?

A. It starts with training attention...the ability to focus on something and keep it there. And this is getting harder. Tech companies want your attention ($$$) and know how to get it.

B. You notice more around and inside you eg. your tight shoulders or clenched jaw, how busy your mind is or the emotional state you're in. What you notice, you can change.

C. You develop more mental balance (equanimity).

And this is a gamechanger!

It determines your experience.

Your ability to remain composed increases. You roll with the punches better and stress less. Letting go of what someone said or did, keeps you lighter and present. more awake to the life as it's happening.

Enough thinking and stimulation.
