Measuring your progress.
The two main categories why people meditate are: Serenity and Insight.
- A sense of calm, composure and being relaxed.
- Spaciousness in the mind (for new ideas to come in).
When the brain is overstimulated, it's hard to be serene and there's no room for those 'aha' moments to come in.
It's important to have your own, strong intention of why you meditate.
Make it personal.
It'll serve you, especially as motivation continues to wax and wane.
The measure of your progress.
If you're a regular meditator, It makes sense to check-in with your own progress.
It's not about how long you can sit or have one-pointed focus for.
It's how it impacts your everyday.
At work. In general life.
What's changed for you since you began meditating?
