Consuming -vs- Creating.

Our ‘Brain Break’ station at MAINSTREAM Community conference @ Centrepiece, Melbourne Park last week.

I make sure to create not just consume.

Every week I write this email now blog.

It’s been happening for 12 years. 44 weeks per year.

The motivation has waxed and waned along the way.

As expected - ha!

But I remember why I'm doing it.

And that reminds me to keep going. That I have much work to do.

To be patient. Persistent.

As a byproduct...

Creating content gives me a break from consuming information…all the bl**dy time.

There’s way too much of it coming and my brain cannot handle the constant onslaught of information.

So when there is a break from new things coming in...

The ideas and creativity inside, are allowed to surface.

And this weekly email is my opportunity to create.

With regularity.

Why relaxation maters

Over the years, there's been many moments where I'd say - "I've got to write the weekly email".

When I forced the writing, with a sense of pressure to get it done, it was inhibited by restriction.

These days, it's "I get to write an email".

Lucky me!

And I relax. It flows.

There’s a sense of ease, a sense of spaciousness.

What is your outlet to create?

Ps. Thanks for reading mine.

Ps. One of the best byproducts of meditation is…relaxation. Be relaxed and alert at the same time.
